Introduction
These Membership Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between COSCU (Confederation of Schools, Colleges & Universities), hereinafter referred to as “COSCU,” and its members. By becoming a member of COSCU, you agree to abide by these Terms. COSCU reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. It is the member’s responsibility to regularly review these Terms for updates and changes.
Membership Categories
COSCU offers various membership categories, including but not limited to Individual, Educational Institutions, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Large Enterprises/Corporate, Educational Boards, Accreditation Agencies, Affiliation Agencies, Ranking Agencies, Quality Assurance Agencies, Government Departments, and Ministries.
Membership Types:
COSCU offers different membership of different types to individuals and to the institution or organizations based on the size, mainly for Small, Medium, and Large Institutions, Small, Medium, and Large corporate or comprehensive memberships to both, Memberships to Non Profits, Educational Boards, Accreditation, Affiliation, Ranking and Quality Control Agencies, Government Bodies, departments and ministries.. Each membership type allows for a specific number of representatives to participate in COSCU activities and benefits.
Membership Duration
Membership in COSCU can be either Annual or Lifetime. The Lifetime membership is valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of enrollment. Membership fees for both categories are subject to change and are non-refundable.
Membership Benefits
Membership benefits include access to COSCU events, delegations, collaboration opportunities, networking platforms, member discounts, and other resources provided by COSCU. These benefits are subject to change, and COSCU reserves the right to modify or terminate any benefit without prior notice.
Membership Fees and Registration Charges
Membership fees and one-time registration charges vary depending on the membership category and are subject to change. Group memberships are not allowed; each branch, country, independent entity or institution must apply for membership separately. COSCU does not guarantee a specific number of events per year, and members are responsible for availing themselves of membership benefits.
Rights and Responsibilities
Representation Clause:
Any institution, organisation, non profit or corporate applying for membership with COSCU must ensure that their representation comes from a single branch. If the institution operates multiple branches under the same brand name or registered entity, each branch shall be considered a separate institution for membership purposes. Failure to provide accurate information regarding the branch or representatives representing the institution may result in the termination of membership. COSCU shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from false or misleading information provided by the institution.
Termination of Membership
COSCU reserves the right to terminate any membership without prior notice if the member violates these Terms or engages in conduct detrimental to COSCU’s reputation or objectives.
National Leadership Role
COSCU reserves the right to modify, amend, or change the National Leadership Team guidelines at any time without prior intimation to its members or the National Leadership Team. Additionally, COSCU reserves the right to add or remove any National Leadership Team member without any prior notification.

Membership in COSCU does not guarantee any specific outcome, business success, or financial gain. COSCU is not liable for any losses, damages, or liabilities incurred by members.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of European Union. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of Dutch arbitration law.
Agreement
By applying for membership and accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by all provisions outlined in these Membership Terms and Conditions.
