Mr. Augustus Flomo, former Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Liberia, is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in public policy management, economic development, and fiscal accountability. With over two decades of distinguished service and leadership roles, Mr. Flomo brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to the COSCU Advisory team.

Mr. Flomo’s journey in the development sector began with a humble start as a business trainer at the Organization for Children & Adolescent Mothers (OCAM). Through dedication and perseverance, he progressed to become a lecturer at Cuttington University, where he honed his skills in education and community engagement.

Mr. Flomo’s career trajectory saw him take on pivotal roles at the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) in Washington DC and Liberia’s Office, where he served as Deputy Chief of Party and Acting Chief. His tenure was marked by strategic initiatives and innovative projects aimed at driving economic growth, fostering public-private partnerships, and advocating for economic empowerment.

Prior to joining COSCU, Mr. Flomo served as the Deputy Minister for Economic Management at Liberia’s Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP). In this role, he played a key role in formulating and coordinating comprehensive economic policies, managing complex financial frameworks, and leading strategic analysis to align projects with broader economic objectives.
